I can't add characters.

Hello friends. I'm a beginner to MUGEN and I have a really hard time trying to add characters. I am using the 2011 version. Although I add the character's file to the "chars" section, copy the name of the file and paste it in the "select.def" section, this character does not appear in the game. Am I doing something wrong? Can anyone help me?

I've fixed it, friends. I was making a small mistake while extracting the rar file.
