I really don't understand how to add characters (I've tried EVERTHING)

Could someone help me figure out how to add characters to ANY version of the game because i am really struggling.

Extract the zip file into your chars folder, make sure the folder name matches the .def file inside and that it is not within another folder.

Head into the data folder, right click and open select.def in a text editor like notepad.
Scroll down until you find the character names(kfm if it's a fresh install with no characters added yet.)
Enter the name of the character's folder here and save.

If the character doesn't show up, it's likely because the .def file name and folder name don't match or that the .def file is in another folder.
Rename the .def file OR folder name to match up if the names aren't the same.
I.E chars/Lewd/Skimpy.def will not load.

Move the .def file up as many folders as you need to until it is the first folder of the same name.
I.E chars/Lewd/Lewd/Lewd.def will not load.

If you happen to have a screenpack installed, it is possible that select.def was moved. A quick windows search should help you find it then.
