Need help getting started in character editing.

However, it doesn't make Victims go from phase 1 to phase 2, and that makes me sad. So, since asking strangers on the internet to make that edit for me without any form of remuneration to give them (I'm not very liquid at the moment) would be a lot to ask for, I figured I might as well try to make the edit myself. Thing is, I have no idea on where to start.

If someone could point me in the right direction by linking me to some resources that would be neat. If I manage to do it I will post the edit on the character download section. Worst case scenario I'll just wait for next month and pay someone to do it for me.
