How do I know who to contact?

Post by spoons825 »

Hi there! :)

So, I've often read that the best way to get an NSFW character made is to contact someone about it. My only problem is, I'm inexperienced with it and so I have no idea who to contact. There are a decent amount of creators on this site, but I have no way of knowing things like their prices, what any of them are and are not willing to do, or how I could get any info like that besides just... y'know, PM'ing dozens of creators until I find one I want to work with, which sounds incredibly time-consuming.

So, I guess my question is, how do I find these things out? Is there a board I'm missing, or do I just have to DM dozens of people until I find one that I want to work with? And is there anyone you'd recommend for making a character? :)

Hello good Samaritan.

Although in this place there are users who create pornographic content for MUGEN, you will find mostly "editor" users. There is a big difference between what they can do and the knowledge they have, but for practical purposes they can be of help to you. plans you have.

Now what could you do? In my humble opinion, I suggest you post a notice in the forum of what you want, being specific and detailed, how much you are going to pay and why.

Sending private messages to users without being asked is spam and in my time it was a crime punishable by the veto of the forum and the published IP so that that person would not be liked on similar sites due to their annoying unsolicited sending, it doesn't matter That you say you give X amount of money, at the end of the day money is that and it can't buy everything.

You will have to search out the artist, code/programmer, or creator/edit who made the character you like. You will have to review their work, or galleries, and if they got none, you can simply asks about it them.

Decent questions:
  1. Are you doing commission, and if you do, are they open?
  2. what's your limit? As in, what can you do, and won't do in a commission?
  3. Can I see your price sheet? and if you don't have one, Can you explain to me the prices of your works
  4. So on~!
Some Creators/Editors will leave their contact info inside the character, or on a text files, but not everyone do. So, its pretty much a hunt for creators/editors in most characters.

My recommendation would be Mizulugu and Beware if you are into furry content

Mizulugu is an artist, programmer and an animator. He does everything from scratch, can provide simple to complex information on a character (either his or someone else) and he can also edit/modified someone else character (Keyword "can", but most of the time he will reject that request/commission).
Beware is a programmer only who commission a pixel artist to create his images and animations. He implement everything inside the character
I visit this forum when I remember I exist!

Thank you both for your answers! :) I'll probably post something about it, though I don't know how much a commission typically is, so I'll set a budget for myself and see if it's enough, or perhaps talk to Mizulugu and/or Beware before posting anything. Thanks again for your kind words and helpful replies. :)
