About Zangief from this website..

Post by Taven »

So... the recent Zangief charry here was detected by Malwarebytes as malware on my computer... should I be concerned, or is this a false alarm?

I'm just a neophyte in computer science, but I use common logic in situations I don't know, I'll share my tip with you:

If the antivirus indicates evil (virus) then I don't open/execute it and that's it.

If my needs are greater in the face of any consequence, knowing that there is evil (virus), I execute/open it and I face the consequences and I do not blame anyone but myself.

Or the best option, but be careful, it is for a user who knows everything about the internet, I am not, so it is just a comment from a user, here it goes:

I verify which file the antivirus is indicating to me as having evil (virus). I analyze with the power of knowledge if the file it indicates can really contain a virus because if it does not know an extension, the antivirus can detect it as a virus and, knowing this, I move on. that warning and if it is the opposite, I should destroy it and keep the other files that make up the download and look for the destroyed file for a healthy one.
