One year more...

The year is almost over. I hope it's not just another year in the lives of those reading this. Of course, there were good times and not-so-good times, but the important thing is that we're still here.

And after all the philosophical musings about life, what are you all doing and what will you be doing next year in terms of MUGEN? Or does anyone have a surprise planned before the year ends and are waiting for the perfect moment...?

We may not have any plans, but these rich people have the plan of making everyone jobless with the so-called human replacement *coughing* ai *coughing*

Here in my beloved third-world country, AI is just memes, plagiarism for school projects, and fake videos/images. I'm not saying it's impossible for it to affect employment, but without being unpatriotic, there's no way AI could do the work. For starters, there's no electrical grid or telecommunications infrastructure. We use gasoline-powered vehicles that are scrap from other places. Yesterday and today, I had to ride on a bus that fell off the floor and you could see the tire. It sounds funny, but it's also dangerous, and what happens? Nothing...

I'm not complaining, but I see that AI, at least in this part of the world, is going to take so long to arrive that I'll be dead, and even then, I have my doubts about how long it will take to work properly when it finally does arrive.

Note, I'm in favor of AI to the extent that it can help in everything, but it won't even arrive here. Maybe it will arrive in the form of soldiers, not in war, but in a factory. We're good at manufacturing other people's wealth and we can live on crumbs. Just give us internet, Coca-Cola, and some cheap potato chips and we'll keep quiet.
