Re: Been looking for a certain gnoll raid

But, this is from the air file.
This is for 12020

So 12033 seems to be missing the tiny script that 12020 had in the air file for whatever reason.
According to Fighter Factory 3, the animation numbers for the two animations are 112032 and 112033, and they are also not located in the cns files.
But, this is from the air file.
This is for 12020

So 12033 seems to be missing the tiny script that 12020 had in the air file for whatever reason.
According to Fighter Factory 3, the animation numbers for the two animations are 112032 and 112033, and they are also not located in the cns files.

Re: Been looking for a certain gnoll raid
So if they're not in the cns files at all, are we going to have to make some custom explods and trigger them at the right time? Do we have to put them in a certain order in the cns files? I might need some guidance if we do. XD

Re: Been looking for a certain gnoll raid
Alright, well, the cns files are devoid of anything related to those sprites. However, I did find reference in TowerOfBloodyfight-2-3.st

Just out of respect for the fact that you've been an enthusiastic, kind, and courteous user, I'm responding.
My answer, just looking at that code... My interpretation may be wrong, but here goes.
It's explod, which is conditional on animations.
Randomly one of the two, in a somewhat low range.
The rest is describing how that explod is constructed in dimensions (scale). It has a
Which I assume overlaps the victim character!?
And some other parameters that you can learn by reading the MUGEN manuals a bit, which, in this case, are not very relevant to this conversation.
This state:
It's calling sounds for animations, and on which animation element. It strikes me that you are using channel 42, that so many sounds are playing.
This is stopping the sound.

In my humble opinion, discard that; it's just work and time for something that has no future. The code for this sequence, if it's here, probably isn't worth reviewing, unless you have a lot of free time and the result—say, an animation of the attack—is something glorious.lonewolf3515 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 19, 2025 2:29 am [State 900, Fertilization Counter]

Re: Been looking for a certain gnoll raid
Its not that there is a lot of text... it just that they love to put everything in one massive location, and instead of using recursive for those things. They just paste it as is without any comments or clue. Its almost like Kuro lol where everything jumps to places by places until you finally found what you were looking for. A huge mess, complex way of doing it while little to no errors happen.
So making support for a character like that without any clues whats allow is hard, which is why many avoid old characters lol

Re: Been looking for a certain gnoll raid
Well, definitely going through Fighter Factory 3 on this character seems to have left too many loads of unused animations, sprites, and whatnot that in the game one would not see for this character. I'm going to assume that a lot of that coding in the files just don't need to be there at all. :/
Thanks to Fighter Factory 3 showing me the animations, the ones that are in use in game are as follows...
These two right here need to be fixed to show in game.
group:12020 (Fertilization animation) (Missing)
112032
group:12033 (Fertilization animation) (Missing)
112033
These are the other important animations that appear in game.
group:2234 (Doggy)
163021 (Beginning)
163031
163041
163051
163052
162997 (First Ending)
162998 (Second Ending)
group:7230 (Doggy) (Red alt?) (Perhaps this one is not needed?)
7230 (Beginning)
7231
7232
7233
7234 (First Ending)
7235 (Second Ending)
group:27230 (Cowgirl)
27230 (Beginning)
27231
27232
27233
27234
27235 (Ending)
group:12250 (Mating Press)
164000 (Beginning)
164001
164002
164003
164004
164005 (First Ending)
1640005 (Second Ending)
This should be the only animations we're working with, besides the animations to make the gnolls normally move and normally attack. Knowing this, I'm hoping to do a bit of programming cleanup, and hope that I don't completely break the character trying to lol. This will also be helpful reference to try and get those sprites to work. I've got to be on the right track here at least.
Still though, I wish I could figure out how to make those sprites appear in the game. They're being contrary for some reason lol. I 'm probably not using the right coding to get them to show up, or maybe this coding is in the wrong file. The .def file does point to this .st file though, so I dunno.

Re: Been looking for a certain gnoll raid
I AM SO UPSET omfg!
I FIXED IT!! I was chasing a white rabbit the whole freaking time! WHO WOULD DO THIS?!
So I found the culprit, it was a single little config file set in the deepest part of the folders that had one tiny little code that was disabling those certain sprite animations from being triggered in game, despite the largest coding pool for it being setup in that st file that was shown earlier. No idea why it would be so hidden away...
Here's the "Gnoll Raid3" from the videos. My work on this is done, for now.... I'm going to sleep.

Re: Been looking for a certain gnoll raid
After about a 6 hour sleep, I'm awake. As I said before, I'm not quite finished with this one yet.
I have a plan for this, plus I want to do this because of vengeance. A fat middle finger to whoever coded it the way that they did lol.
The plan, the project: To make a version of this with an excessive amount of explods of those sprites.
No idea when this project will be completed, but when I figure it out and implement it, I will upload it here. Stay tuned!

Re: Been looking for a certain gnoll raid
I downloaded the gnoll, and that version seems like a complete copy and paste from the original code of tobf ( TowerOfBloodyfight ) with the same issue to lol The only different of this version is that doggystyle is supported on themselves, but the game soft-lock, because the "helper" cannot stand back up. Just like a normal player. Have fun editing and perhaps fixing this version clonelonewolf3515 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 20, 2025 1:47 am After about a 6 hour sleep, I'm awake.
